The first shot is the old McDonalds in Hudson (Greenport) - it sits next to the abandoned single theater and the site of the original Jamesway/Price Chopper.  It is today a church (after having been an Italian restaurant for a few years (with several bomb threats during that time - certainly not good for business).

The 2nd photo is the current Hudson McDonalds at the corner of Healy Blvd & Rt 9 (kitty corner to BK) - a much busier part of town nowadays.

3rd Shot - Catskill McDonalds on Route 9W

4th & 5th Photos - Closed Ravena McDonalds - This one closed down a year or two back without much warning - I remember that even the employees were on TV and were suprised as well.  There are no other McDonalds in the area - you have to go to Catskill or Glenmont to find one.

Last shot - McDonalds on Delaware Ave in Delmar - sits across from the old Albany Public building

The first photo is the location in Poughkeepsie (downtown on Main Street).  This restaurant had an older location next door which has since been town down and rebuilt with an AutoZone.

The 2nd photo is the Glenmont McDonalds, which sits on the outlot of the former Grand Union/Ames Plaza at the corner of Rt 9W & Fuera Bush Road (which on my map is labelled NY Rt 910A, kind of a strange #!).

The 3rd shot is the newer McDonalds on Route 4 in North/East Greenbush (kinda right at the line).

The last 2 photos are of the (former) location on Route 4 across from Hudson Valley Community College.  If you're saying "that's an unusual McDonalds design (Especially the front with the "Greenhouse") - you're right.  It was a Burger King which closed, then later was converted to McDonalds.  I don't know why it didn't do well (as it sits DIRECTLY across the street from the college driveway) - there are other fast food places as well, but when this was a BK students still used to drive to the next closest McD's in Wynantskill.

First the Bennington location (Rt 67A) - they were originally next door (where you see the yellow Shell roof) then built a newer store here (replaced some other building).

2nd the Highland location in the JAmesway/GU Plaza.

3rd the Kingston location on Route 9W - smaller building.

4th the Kingston location on Ulster Ave - just the sign (one of the older styles).

5th is the Saugerties store on 9W South of the village - playplace was a later addition.

6th is the Saugerties location just off Exit 20 of the NYS Thruway.

7th is the Western Ave location just below Crossgates.

8th is the Wolf Road location.

9th is the Central Ave location just up from Westgate - this one is older and has been redone a couple times (once was a prototype for a recycled store using old foam boxes!).

10th is the Pittsfield (MA) location - corner of Rts 8 & 9.

11th is the Adams location on Route 8 - front view from Rt 8 and side view from Big Y lot.

Last is the North Adams location on Route 2

BillyGr

The top shot is the location in Cobleskill, on Route 7 in the main part of town.  Fairly standard older building with the Playplace addition.

The 2nd shot (on the left) is a kind of bad shot of the Cooperstown one - it's in the plaza with the P&C on Rt 28 South of town.  This one has an unusual tent-like covered area in front (where you could eat in warm weather).

The right hand shot is the Oneonta store on Route 7/23 in the West End.  Another fairly standard building with the Playplace added on.

Last is the Oneonta store at the intersection of Route 23 & 28 (near the Southside mall).

Actually, that Latham Farms one only looks unusual because from the main road (Route 9, where you are) you're actually looking at the BACK of the building - if you pull in and take the photo, it would look more "normal".
By the way - the Boston Market down Route 9 used to be McDonalds before they opened this one.

Maybe Sidney has rules about design?  I know ours here in Valatie is unusual due to some of the requirements added by the town.

I've seen a couple other of those ones built into a gas station (while travelling, can't remember where now) - probably made sense for that (smaller) area rather than a full size one.

Also - the Pittsfield one looks better now after a renovation due to a fire (about 1 1/2 yrs. ago) - it took quite a while to re-open - and now the Burger King down Rt 7 is closed due to fire - that one has been closed quite a while also.  Maybe they need some more fire-resistant buildings!
