Well over the weekend I did some power-searching and came up with some new photos of Ames stores!

Have you ever been able to find out any information about the Ames (prior Zayre) that operated in Kissimmee, FL?  I used to visit it frequently after we moved there in 1985 and do not know how long it had been open or when it closed for good.   :question:

Have you ever heard of any other Ames or Zayre stores in the Orlando area?   :huh:

Over the years many people have told me about Ames in Dlorida during the Zayre acquisition.  Unfortunately I have never found any solid information on any.  I think we all would like to see more about Ames in FL!

Chris My friend used to have photos of the two Lakeland Fl. locations but has been unsucessful in finding them. I will let you know if he finds them. I think one location was never converted to Ames.

There was one in Jacksonville,FL that was a former Zayre. My dad worked for that Zayre when he was younger. That was the only Ames I got to go to.
