An old West Coast grocery chain, mainly concentrated in Southern California. The chain ceased to exist sometime around 1988 when American Stores bought Lucky stores. Many locations were co-branded with Skaggs Drug, as "Skaggs Alpha-Beta" Here is a pic of an un remodeled store interior, taken last month.

All the 70's locations had these "A-B" tiles on the front, and in the meat department...
