sadley that stiore has just been torn down this year im glad to see somen likes my pics that was teh ames in carnmel ny but i dont think it was a zayre

Caldor1999 nice pix!!!  I actually found them on the net, so I guess you have other fans of yoour work!!!

The reason I know that was a Zayre store is because of the style of the inside ceiling, it has a Zayre style that you see in the converted stores.

Are there any more of the old Ames Stores out there with the old signs and stuff still on the buildings?????

We have all took plenty of pictures, just check out the store locator!  Agawam Mass. is still vacant, and has really aged with the times.

that looks like store 0229 in Carmel NY... definately not a Zayres... all of the former Zayres store numbers were in the 2000s

Here are the four Zayre store designs.  I think that #2 is the most common.  #3 is the most recent. #4 may be the oldest.
