the 81,000 sq.ft. store in the lockport mall in lockport ny  and the mall is almost dead and rumors are abound it may leave in 2007 as rumors are abound that wal-mart nearby wants to relocate and turn the mall into super wal-mart.

Between Macy's, JC Penney and Kohl's I don't see how yet another midscale department store can carve out a niche for itself.  Certainly their dismal financials point to some problem signs.  Interestingly, one of the units is becoming Von Maur, which is definitely upscale, at least compared to Bon-Ton.
