Whoser

We had one in Waterford, It's where I used to get my used Super Nintendo/NES games, it's now a gamestop, It doesn't supply any more Super Nintendo/NES Games, anything close that is used N64 Games.

XISMZERO

GameStop purchased the chain; most to all stores have been rebranded accordingly by now. They've also bought out/merged with Electronics Boutique, mostly keeping the namesake in tact.

GameStop has relatively done what FYE has to their subsidiary brands; namely Strawberries, Coconuts, and going even further back Saturday Matinee, Record Town, and even Suncoast. They just own everything now!
All submitted photos were taken by myself unless stated otherwise.

There is a Funcoland at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, New Jersey.

We were lucky enough to already have 2 versions of Game Stop and another Funco which just recently became another Game Stop, but the street sign still shows Funco.

Today I was at the very rarely open used videogame store in my town
They had a large collection of NES Sleeves for sale, mostly the official ones
But my eyes popped when I saw these four.
The guy let me have them for free as long as I bought something.
I ended up buying $80 worth of stuff so he surely didnt mind the free sleeves

They are for Original NES Games

I myself still own, not counting the systems I've sold (Xbox, PS2)
Commodore 64 (1982 - Powers on but screen will not display)
NES (1984 and 1993 models)
SNES (Original 1991 model)
Nintendo Virtual Boy (1995)
Sony Playstation (1995)
Nintendo 64 (1996)
Sega Genesis (Second version 1991)
Sega CD (1993)
Sega Dreamcast (1999)
Xbox 360 (3rd one I've had)

I miss this store so bad. It was 1000x better than Gamestop. They had locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire(Manchester) as well. I'm not sure what other states had Funcoland. They were bought out in 2000.

There was a location on Rt 1 South in Saugus, MA that was right next to a Coconuts, which did not sell games at the time. I believe it's some kind of vitamin store now.

Here's the Store Locator from their website, circa 1997:

Apparently, they were scattered throughout the whole continental US, but not in every state.

Nice find. I put all of the siteride.com pictures of Funcoland on the Gamestop Facebook page last year

Just click on "previous" and it will cycle through them all, as well as others photos people put on the Gamestop page.
