You should have taken the whole cart! :insane: I bought a Bradlees cart after they went out of business and they were selling there carts and baskets and shelves and such and I had it until 2003 when I left it in the alley behind my house and a car hit it and I left it on the lawn across the alley by the trees! It turned out the guy had a few beers and I got 20 bucks for a distroyed Bradlees cart.

Found a few Bradlees carts in Bristol, CT. I was floored when I found them seeing as the Bradlees here closed about 5 years ago.

A blacked out cart abandoned behind a nearby Ocean State Job Lot which seized these after the Bradlees and Stop & Shop closed to make way for a bigger Super Stop & Shop on the other end of the plaza.

Here's a bunch of no longer used Bradlees carts in various forms found in Bristol, Connecticut in the Bristol Plaza.

The red ones are typical Bradlees carts (there's tons of them floating around town) but these black ones are almost certainly former, rebranded Caldor carts. Check out the Ames-esque catch slogan from Bradlees final years...

Yo! You wanna know where the shopping cart graveyard is in Bristol? It's behind the Shaw's on the corner of Route 6 and Oakland Street. Until September 2004 I worked as a cart boy at that Shaw's. In addition to damaged Shaw's carts were carts from Bradlees, Caldor, Job Lot, Party City, Price Chopper, KMART, Toy Works.

There are some old bradlees carts at the Ocean State Job Lot in Westborough, MA.  Looks like they just slapped on blank stickers on most of them. Some say "Ocean State Job Lot"

Yeah Marc, I've been around there lately. It seems the main strip on Route 6 has a lot of defunct store's carts perpetuated by the many thrift and closeout stores in that area. Every week or so I find new carts appearing in various plazas on Rt.6 (my home is around there and I'm in Bristol practically everyday for some reason or another).

Here's a honeycomb-style "TJ Maxx" looking Bradlees cart I've found in few emerging around Bristol, Connecticut (the spent Bradlees cart capitol of the world). These might've been some of Bradlees final cart designs - note how the logo is on the bottom of the basket portion.

Attempt at a blacking out of the logo, here's a newer, unseen Bradlees cart style sighted in a few plazas in Bristol, Connecticut. This was found outside the Ocean State Job Lot at the Bristol Centre Mall while another like it was found in Bristol Commons aside Price Chopper.

My local Bradlees bought a bunch of Caldor carts (no idea why as they were obviously quite old) and just threw stickers over them.

Today I was at the former Montgomery Ward store in Nashua, NH. Next to the Auto center was a small area fenced off. Inside was 4 shopping carts from the Bradlees store that had been across the street in the Nashua Mall.

Actually I remember their carts being red, so I was surprised to see these which are charcoal colored.

I agree, the Concord NH Bradlees had both original red Bradlees carts and "rebadged" Caldor charcoal carts.

Spotted in Middletown Stop & Shop. The deli dept uses it as a trash cart. The rubber on all 4 tires has worn to the plastics. There used to be a Bradlees next door, like most older Stop & Shops.

Yeah I was in Bristol the other day (At The Discount Food Outlet) and I saw TWO Bradlees Carts In the Back. It seems Bristol is Bradlees City. Go Figure

I tried looking around in Bristol the other day to see if I could spot any, sadly not.

I was at Stop & Shop Plaza on Farmington Ave today and in an empty store next to Dollar Tree they had a crap load of shopping carts. All currently operating however. There were a bunch of Price Chopper Carts, a few from Walmart Neighborhood Market, and a couple from Shoprite.

These old carriages can show up anywhere, but sometimes you wonder where it's been. I mean I posted somewhere on this forum that in 2010 or 2011 I found a Waldbaum's cart outside of the Big Lots in Bristol, CT. The Big Lots was a Waldbaum's Foodmart until '98 or '99 and Big Lots opened in '03 or '04.

In the early 90s I think Bradlees was using plastic red ones. I think that's what the guy had when he filled it with garbage and lit it on fire damaging the Bristol Bradlees. I forgot when that was. I was in second or third grade I think.

Caldor at one time had Brown Plastic ones and the Job Lot at the now-demolished Bristol Centre Mall took them over.

The Job Lot in Southington bought the teal ones from AMES after they closed.

Now both Southington and Bristol Job Lots have Grey plastic ones from Walmart.

I don't remember which store it was from, but one of the contractor's who worked on building the Bristol Hobby Lobby had an old shopping cart.

The Namco in Southington was using old rusted Foodmart Carts. Namco took over part of the old Super Foodmart. I don't think they use them anymore.

That Stop & Shop uses Ace Hardware carts for trash now, but keep a few Bradlees Carts in back for cardboard. Found that out today, Saw the Ace Carts and asked of the Bradlees cart. Was told about that, so I asked if I could see it and snap a photo of it. Unfortunately they didn't have time to go find it. But its probably the weirdest request they've gotten. Remind me not to return to this location again (Or at least that store's deli) for a couple years. Totally embarrassed! lol.

Any additional good places I should look for or find lone Bradlees Carts?

I Think they use a matter of what carts they could get. I Think it would be weirder if a Kid asked. :3
