Last night a movie called "A Very Merry Toy Store" aired on Lifetime. It started Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez - owners of rival toy stores in downtown New Britain who reluctantly team up to go after a big box toy store run by a character played by Billy Gardell. The movie was filmed in Amato's Toy Store in New Britain along with the Miss Washington Diner in New Britain, an area downtown known as Central Park, New Britain City Hall, and an office building known as The Plaza building which previously was known as The Acmat Building.

And the best thing about it, there's a Toys R Us in the neighboring town, Newington!
Pittsburgh has become Hollywood on the Monongahela.
LOTS of movies are filmed here. Most of them pretty bad.
