Hundreds of redundant Rite Aid and Walgreens locations will close over the next 18 months as WBA works to integrate its acquired stores.

Off the top of my head I will say these 3 Rite Aids will close in Connecticut:

430 North Main Street Bristol - Northside Square

52 East Street Plainville (Route 10)

167 Main Street Southington (Route 10)

These 3 are very old stores. Bristol already has 2 Walgreen's. One down the street and around the corner from the Rite Aid. Plainville has a newer Walgreens right down the street. Rite Aid first opened in Plainville on New Britain Avenue in the then new BIG Y Plaza in 93 or 94. (It's Dress Barn now). They bought out Appel's Pharmacy on East Street a few years later and shuttered the store at Big Y Plaza. The one at 500 Queen Street in Southington will probably become a 2nd Walgeeens. This location has only been open 8 years.

Nothing should be affected in Willimantic, since there is no Rite-Aids in the city. Is Canterbury's Rite-Aid on the list? There's no Walgreens nearby, but it really doesn't serve that large of a area.
