Periodically Stop and Shop and sister store Giant run promotions "Buy the name brand, get the store brand free." A couple weeks ago one of the items were cinnamon rolls in a tube. The Stop and Shop/Giant brand tasted like cinnamon rolls. The Pillsbury brand tasted like cinnamon flavored biscuits.
I just took them up on their offer for all natural peanut butter; made 1/2 my sandwich today with Smuckers, 1/2 with their store brand. I couldn't taste the difference. I thought it interesting that the store brand was made in Canada-I didn't know peanuts grew that far north.
