To my understanding, RadioShack was already in the process of bankruptcy liquidation, but this purchase took away some of those debts.

Still makes no sense it's clear the stores aren't pulling a profit and it's not like some magical turn around is right around the corner. To me it seems like a waste of money that could have been better invested elsewhere.

The only Radio Shack stores turning a profit are the dealer stores, NOT the stores owned by Radio Shack.
