I don't think that this will affect Shop n' Save stores in my area, as they are all
franchised to independent owners.

Apparently they used the Shop n' Save name for some stores they bought from Food Lion but these are in a totally different area than the existing Shop n' Saves based out of Pittsburgh PA area.

I guess they just needed some name to use and went with that one for whatever reason.

The "original" ones (or at least one in NY state that we were near recently) seemed quite good and reasonable for a store in a small town with little competition nearby (even if it was an unusual setup with a Sunoco station directly in front of it).
