Title: Zantigo
Post by: Ameskid on March 16, 2017, 12:23:10 AM
Mexican fast-food chain renowned for their dollar menu.  Changes in ownership led to the chain being owned by Pepsico.  They decided to keep Taco Bell over KFC and all Zantigo locations were closed by 1987.

Many Taco Bells operate out of former Zantigo locations - apparently Zantigos were kept in better shape than Taco Bells during that period, so they moved in once Zantigo vacated the premises.

I found an ad for the Zantigo locations around the Cincinnati area in November 1983.  Here are the locations and their current status.
