Capital One has cancelled its planned buyout of Cabela's in-house credit operation, which will likely deep-six the deal

So they are struggling yet they just opened a brand new store in Gainesville, Va?

I don't think Cabela's is struggling. I'm thinking the Bass Pro buyout was a means to eliminate one more of the competitors, especially with Gander Mountain going under.

A small bank in Georgia has stepped in to possibly save the merger (if the government is ok with it, that is)
