Title: Predictions for 2015?
Post by: store215 on December 25, 2014, 02:18:13 AM
Retail-wise, What do you think will happen in 2015?

-RadioShack will go out of business or significantly change their business model to franchise-only stores
-Sears/Kmart may make another year, but there will be more closures as leases run out.
-More boutique clothing retailers will bite the dust
-Bottom Dollar Food will remain open as a division of Aldi, instead of the stores becoming Aldi.

I don't see Bottom dollar Food staying open as a division of Aldi, since a lot of the stores are close to an existing Aldi location

RadioShack will change its name and try to shift the stores into some new line of business.
(I make this prediction after visiting my daughter and her boyfriend over the holidays and realizing
they did not have a single radio anyplace in their apartment)

Sears/Kmart will close at least double the number of stores they are currently planning to close
in 2015.

Everytime they do someone will post an announcement on this board.   ;D

2015 will be a near record year for mall closings.
