Title: Oscoda, MI store
Post by: amesguy95 on October 12, 2009, 12:08:06 PM
The store locator says it was planned but never built, but I stumbled upon a picture of a store in Oscoda that looks a lot like it could be a former Ames...

What do you guys think?

The building looks like it could have been a grocery store.

The store never opened.  I think it may have been under construction when we filed Chap. 11.

I remember a fellow assistant manager in the Caro, Michigan location who desperately wanted to transfer
to this store.  I think he was originally from Oscoda.   The store manager and the other assistant both got
transfers to other locations, but he did not get his wish.  Our DM told him that he was going to stay in
Caro and become "the nucleus of a new organization".

We always called him Mr. Nucleus after that.
