QuoteMcKEESPORT, Pa. -- A general manager at a Ford dealership in McKeesport was nearly struck by a car that came crashing into the showroom on Tuesday.

"I was covered in glass," said manager Bob Wally. "The car actually skimmed across me."

The crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. at the TriStar Ford dealership along Walnut Street. The impact smashed glass and knocked over a filing cabinet.

A worker was on the phone and had his back turned when a Cadillac plowed into the building.

"I seen it, then I heard it," said Gren Irwin, salesman. "It was really loud."

Officials said the driver of the Cadillac was 67-year-old woman from Monroeville, and she apparently hit the gas instead of the brake while driving. Police said she will not be charged.

No one was injured in the crash

This dealership later was taken over by the Jim Shorkey Auto Group.
It has since relocated to a newly built facility in nearby White Oak.
