Title: North Country Big Lots stores
Post by: mikey7290 on September 06, 2007, 06:38:00 PM
Here are two pics I took a couple of years ago of the Big Lots stores in the North Country.  The top photo is the Massena, NY store.  It's in the Harte Haven Shopping Center just off Rt. 37.  It is about 15,000 sf in size and was a Woolworth's from 1958 when the plaza first opened until the chain went out in 1997.  The second pic is the Watertown store.  It's in the Pharmhouse Plaza on Arsenal Street.  It is about 25,000 sf and was originally an A&P, then later a Great American.  It has been open for about ten years.  I took this photo from the parking lot of the Burger King next door.

Woodworkers warehouse has been closed for ages now. I worked at that BK around the time you took the pix.

Now a Quiznos is there, I think a beauty store is there too - it's not a Sally's. The Radio Shack is still there, and I'm sorta surprised, seeing the one on State Street is closed.
