Coolness! Zody's was gone by the time we moved here (1985) but the store where Zody's was became a Pak-N-Save grocery store. The building is now a Food Maxx, but still has the same entrance it did when it was Zody's.
Zody's was an upscale discount store -- I suppose Target is today's equivalent. Most of their stores were huge. I read on another forum that Ralph's bought most of their stores and re-opened them as "The Giant".

Anyhow, Circuit City got it's start by running leased electronics departments in Zody's stores.
